Epoxy resin is scratch, stain and abrasion resistant.  Unlike tiles, epoxy resin is flexible and won't crack, even under the weight of heavy machinery. See our blog post: Why You Should Epoxy Your Garage Floor.

Can epoxy resin be recycled?

No, epoxy resin is generally not recyclable. They are hard and very durable plastics that are meant to be heat-resistant. Once the hardening process has taken place after mixing the two components together, it is irreversible, so it's virtually impossible to separate them again.

How does epoxy compare to carpet or tile flooring?

While tile flooring and carpet may be great for many uses, epoxy offers some distinct advantages. It is epoxy’s anti-microbial qualities that often make it more practical than tile flooring, which is more porous and gives germs a place to grow. Similarly, it is much easier to clean and maintain than carpet flooring, requiring just a quick wipe with a cloth to clean. That is just 2 reasons why epoxy surfaces are gradually replacing tile flooring and carpet flooring in homes and businesses across Northern Ireland.

Where are you based?

Epoxy Rox is based in Carrickfergus and operates across all of Northern Ireland.
